Lazy morning around the casita after the fairies went to school. DadD went on his first run of the trip. The wind had still been a little crazy (especially in the mornings) so he laid off of the surfing.
The Harmony opened their juice bar today and was offering free tasty treats & coffee. DadD got the first latte of the season....and it was on the house! The rockstar Gabbie (also an amazing yoga instructor) got DadD's thumbs up on the latte, he is a latte snob.
Stopped into Naked Foods to buy tickets for a concert Sunday night and MomT & DadD ended up "signing up" for a 5 day cleanse?! Crazy how things work. MomT was shocked to hear DadD volunteer to do the cleanse with her. They have both gotten to know the staff at Naked Foods and I guess one thing led to another and bam...they start their cleanse in the morning.
A little girl from school had been begging for a playdate with Fairy1. Sweet little girl who hugs MomT everyday when she drops the fairies off. MomT tracked the mother of the little tica down at the restaurant she cooked for and got it all set. It worked out great because Fairy1 wanted to play soccer after school with the soccer club so Fairy2 and the tica got to build fairy-houses on the beach for an hour. When Fairy1 got picked up from soccer Fairy2 did feel a little left out (well a lot left out) because her tica friend was more interested on her big sis. Life of the younger child:(
Love this beach, Playa Pelada. Not a beach for surfers unless you are local.
The fishing boats are always so colorful.
We took our little buddy to Rancho Tico which serves typical costa rican fare. The kids ran around the huge restaurant with some local kids and played Toro. There was a kid on the scooter and he was the bull and the other children ran away from him. Kind of like tag.
Yummm, chicken tacos and rice. The tortillas had xmas cut out shapes in them made with cookie cutters. Super cool.
Buenos noches!
