Tortugas!

Yesterday and today we woke up bright and early and headed down to Ostional Beach to view the tortuga (turtle) babies make their journey from hatchlings to the big wide ocean.  It is an amazing sight to see.  As viewers you are aloud to gently pick up the Olive Ridley Turtles for viewing but you aren't supposed to help them get to the water.  They need to do the walking themselves to get strong so they can swim and survive.  We were out there cheering the hundreds of turtles making the trek.

Here are a bunch of babies crawling out from their nest of eggs.  As you can see they are pretty well camouflaged by the dark sand.

The kids finished their day off at a 2 hour art class.  They made beautiful bird pencil boxes.  MomT and AuntieL took a restorative yoga class at Treetops in the Nosara Yoga Institute complex.  Treetops is litteraly at the top of a hill in the trees in an open air pagoda.  The torrential down pour during the class was amazing!  We are restored!
